Join us at Furniture Bank for an exciting in-person volunteering opportunity! On April 17th, you’ll help repair, assemble, and prepare furniture for families transitioning out of homelessness.
There are 15 spots available, and no experience is needed — just come ready to roll up your sleeves. If you have gently used household items to donate, feel free to bring them along.
This is a great chance to connect in person and make a real difference right here in the community.

*Additionally, we’d like to bring to your attention that Furniture Bank is currently in need and accepts gently used household items such as dishes, cutlery, and kitchen appliances. If you have any items you’d like to donate, please feel free to bring them with you on the day of the event.
Join us outdoors with Oakville Green for a hands-on Invasive Species Removal volunteer event! On April 17th, you’ll help protect local forests and greenspaces by removing harmful invasive plants like Buckthorn and Garlic Mustard.
No experience needed — just come dressed for the weather and ready to make a difference. There are 30 volunteer spots available.

The Upper Oakville Shopping Centre has envisioned the creation of a community garden for the residents of Oakville—Blueberry Fields. This initiative extends beyond just growing produce; it’s about fostering a stronger, more connected community. Each year, volunteers come together to plant, nurture, and harvest fresh fruits and vegetables, which are then donated to Home Suite Hope, supporting families in need.
This event is a chance to give back, get your hands in the soil, and make a lasting impact. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or a first-time planter, your efforts will help ensure that fresh, nutritious food reaches those who need it most.

In collaboration with local community members, our Ghana team will be leading a meaningful initiative at Nsawam Medium Security Prison focused on community support, environmental responsibility, and positive impact.

We’ve decided to visit one of the major Prisons in the capital, Accra Nsawam Prisons (Nsawam Medium Prisons) to spend some quality time with the inmates and officers.
